As part of the CIBC’s Global Asset Management Technology team, the Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis will be responsible for providing advice and consultation for business application developments to ensure growth. The role provides technical leadership, interpreting complex information and participating in client business review sessions to influence decisions regarding the use of technology to support objectives.

The Senior

Consultant, Business Systems Analysis develops, recommends and facilitates activities required for the application of new technologies to support existing processes and client needs. The role provides expertise to project managers, coordinators and directors on technology functionality and utilization, utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Primarily working with Rates desk but since it is a cross asset risk management platform they will opportunities working on other asset classes as well.

Solution

Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance. Leading and Mentoring – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert,



and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals.

You can demonstrate experience with: 3-4+ years in a BSA in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions. You have strong abilities around analyzing and understanding data, as well as gap analysis expertise. You have working knowledge on Azure data warehouse, Databricks, and proficient with SQL queries, data structure design in data modelling, Business Intelligence tool such as Power BI, Alteryx and Excel pivot tables, Visio, and other Microsoft office applications.

It’s an asset if you have good understanding on investment products such as mutual funds, ETF, Personal Portfolio Service (PPS) and GIC. You give meaning to data. You know that relationships and networks are essential to success.
