Hiring Digital Architect – Contract in Edmonton, Alberta -Fully Remote

Contract Details :

- Position: Digital Architect

- Work Arrangement: Primarily Remote
- Location: Canada / Alberta collaboration as required
- Schedule: Full-time
- Projects: 1–2 concurrent projects
- Travel: Occasional attendance at meetings/work sessions in Alberta may be required
- Security: Successful candidates may be required to complete background/security clearances, including enhanced or higher-level clearance depending on the assignment.

Stafingo is seeking an experienced Digital Architect to support digital transformation, service innovation, modernization, and enterprise technology initiatives for a confidential client. The successful candidate will work within cross-functional product and program teams , providing solution architecture, technical leadership, strategic guidance, and hands-on support to deliver secure, scalable, user-centric digital services.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead solution architecture for digital services, including architectural roadmaps, system context, technical discovery, feasibility, and target-state designs.
- Develop scalable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, technical standards, coding standards, common platforms, and reusable components .
- Guide Agile teams through iterative design and delivery, balancing technical priorities with business and user needs.
- Define system integrations, boundaries, interfaces, and architectural patterns across digital services.




- Review technical designs and code changes and contribute to development when required.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, architectural impacts, security concerns, and delivery dependencies .
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, architects, business stakeholders, and other technical teams.
- Provide technical coaching and mentorship to delivery teams.
- Create architecture documentation, diagrams, presentations, and other materials for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to the development of architecture principles, standards, metrics, and continuous improvement practices .

Required Experience & Qualifications :

- Strong experience in Digital Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Software Architecture roles.
- Proven experience leading architecture for digital transformation, modernization, or digital service delivery initiatives.
- Strong understanding of cloud, application architecture, APIs, integrations, modern software development, and enterprise platforms .
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum, DevSecOps, or iterative product delivery environments .
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Experience with architectural documentation, system diagrams, technical discovery,



and solution design.
- Solid communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on development experience is an asset, as the role may require contribution to code changes and technical tasks.
- Candidates must be able to work within Canada and be available for occasional meetings/work sessions in Alberta as required.

Project Experience Requirement : Candidates should be prepared to provide two relevant project/assignment examples demonstrating Digital Architect experience, including:

- Project scope and the candidate's architectural responsibilities
- Sector and business context
- Project complexity and transformation scope
- Architecture and Agile delivery approach
- Technologies, platforms, integration strategies, and security practices used
- Public-sector digital transformation or modernization experience is highly preferred.
