NOW HIRING: FACILITIES ENGINEER Actalent's oil and gas owner/operator client seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join their Thermal Facilities team.

This Calgary-based role is responsible for supporting the design, engineering, construction, commissioning, and startup of SAGD facilities and related infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and engineering contractors to safely deliver capital projects from concept through execution while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

- Design and construction of SAGD Thermal Facilities
- Design and construction of various types of pipelines
- Development of cost estimates, cost forecasts and schedules
- Preparation of weekly, monthly reports and various project presentations
- Facilitation of various technical meetings (technical reviews, information sharing, and planning)
- Preparation of Design Basis Memorandums, Project Execution Plans, and other technical documents
- Review construction execution and safety plans
- Monitor and enforce the corporate Health, Safety, Security, and Setting (HSSE) requirements
- Review pipeline survey plans for constructability
- Facilitate and participate in shop fabrication walkdowns and pre-commissioning
- Review shop inspection and field construction reports, and liaise with the engineering contractor for timely resolution of requests for information, non-conformances, and preventative and corrective actions
- Facilitate and participate in system walkdowns and handover
- Assist in the development and execution, inclusive of monitoring and surveillance, of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
- Provide technical support for commissioning and operations

Must Have

- 10+ years of Project Engineer/Facilities Engineer experience
- Active P.Eng with APEGA
- Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of SAGD experience at an upstream producer
- Experience in development of cost estimates and forecasting

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.

Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Calgary,AB.
