Definity completed 10+ acquisitions last year, including one of the largest P&C; transactions in the industry Evaluate potential acquisition targets and strategic initiatives for fit, risk, and value creation
Support execution of acquisitions,
financings, and divestitures across structuring, diligence, documentation, and integration develop and maintain benchmarking databases and presentations
Perform credit analysis and covenant monitoring for broker investments
Mentor junior team members by providing guidance and technical support
Support broader corporate initiatives and strategic projects as required 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related fields;
experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or strategy preferred
Experience in financial services (insurance is an asset)
Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or a related field with solid academic performance
Progress toward or completion of a CPA, CFA, or CBV designation
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills with strong attention to detail
Solid understanding of financial accounting and the impact of business decisions on financial statements
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels, including senior executives
Experience with S&P; Capital IQ and/or MSA is an asset
