Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Senior Fire Alarm Technician ensures programming, inspection, maintenance, and emergency service of fire alarm systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Programming, inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing fire alarm systems.
- Performing upgrades, repairs, additions or improvements to systems following inspection.
- Preparation of inspection, and deficiencies reports in a timely manner.
- Respond to emergency calls during evenings and weekends, on a rotational basis.
- Other inspection and/or deficiency tasks as needed.
Success Factors
Diploma in Fire Protection Technology/Technologist or other relevant training.
- 5 years of relevant experience in service and inspection of fire alarm systems.
- CFAA certification (strong asset).
- Solid customer service skills.
- Working knowledge in programming fire alarm systems.
- Knowledge of Notifier products (an asset).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work well independently.
