Our client, a leading civil construction firm with over three decades of experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects across British Columbia, is seeking a Civil Project Manager to join their team on Vancouver Island. This is a position offering long-term stability, growth opportunities, and the opportunity to manage high-profile civil infrastructure projects throughout the region. Relocation assistance is available.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage civil construction projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Oversee projects involving road construction, underground utilities, bridges, excavation, and run-of-river hydroelectric work
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost forecasts, and progress reports
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, field crews, consultants, and clients throughout project execution
- Manage project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, submittals, contracts, and progress billings
- Monitor project costs, productivity, and schedule performance, identifying and addressing potential risks or delays
- Work closely with Superintendents and field teams to ensure construction activities align with project requirements
- Participate in project handovers, planning meetings, client meetings, and project closeout

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in civil construction,



with experience managing excavation, underground utilities, roadworks, bridges, or hydro projects
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Gold Seal or PMP certification is an asset
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods, project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and cost management
- Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong leadership, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and budget
