As a Cook reporting to the Culinary Services Manager, you will be committed to resident safety while preparing nutritious meals aligned with our mission. Your culinary expertise and attention to detail will ensure meals cater to individual preferences and are presented beautifully. You will also supervise Dietary Aides, maintain a safe kitchen setting, and work collaboratively with the Food Services team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare nutritious meals as per menu plans
• Plate meals respecting residents' preferences
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area




• Supervise Dietary Aides during meal service
• Keep records in the absence of the Food Service Manager
Requirements:
• Current food handling certification required
• Culinary diploma or equivalent preferred
• Familiarity with therapeutic diets and Canada’s Food Guide
• Knowledge of HACCP and safety regulations
• Effective communication skills needed
