Located in Calgary, AB, we have a dominant land position in Alberta's Horseshoe Canyon coal trend and have consolidated a significant amount of CBM assets in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Ember is looking for an experienced Senior Land Analyst to fill a 6 to 12 Month fixed-term contract for our downtown Calgary office team, who can operate in a fast-paced environment. This position will support a significant Mineral Land data improvement initiative and will focus on reviewing, validating, and correcting historical land records within CS Land, with an emphasis on Fee Title Lands and Unit Agreements. The hands-on work requires a candidate with extensive Mineral Land experience and a solid understanding of CS Land who enjoys solving complex ownership and data challenges.

Duties include:

- Review and validate Fee Title land ownership records.
- Analyze and correct historical data issues within CS Land.
- Review royalty and working interest Unit ownership records.
- Identify and resolve inconsistencies, gaps, and inaccuracies in land data.
- Support the development of accurate reporting and data analytics.
- Work closely with the Land, GIS, and Business Intelligence teams.
- Assist with ownership verification, title review, and asset record maintenance.




- Recommend and implement data management best practices.
- Ensure land records accurately reflect Ember’s asset ownership and interests.

Key Deliverables:

- Play a key role in helping Ember better understand, manage and maximize the value of its Mineral Land assets.

- Impact on improving data quality and strengthening ownership records.
- Creating a foundation for better business decisions going forward.

Essential Experience & Skills:

- 15+ years of Land Administration or Land Analyst experience.
- Extensive experience working with CS Land.
- Strong knowledge of Fee Title Lands, royalties, mineral ownership.
- Strong knowledge of Unit Agreements – both Royalty and Working Interest.
- Proven experience with ownership and analysis and land data cleanup projects.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage large volumes of historical data.
- Experience identifying and correcting land system data issues
- Previous experience with large-scale mineral land data remediation projects.
- Working knowledge of Alberta mineral ownership and royalty assets.




- Experience supporting reporting and data validation initiatives.
