B.Sc. in Physics from a recognized post-secondary educational institution;

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered





Good working knowledge of the English language (written and verbal).

Good working knowledge of course content; operation and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and apparatus; modern techniques pertaining to the instruction of Physics courses.

Demonstrated ability to communicate courteously and effectively in person, in writing and over the telephone with students, faculty, administrators, staff and the public.

This temporary part-time (minimum 6 hours per week) position to provide laboratory support for first year astronomy labs ( ASTR 1105 – Introduction to Astronomy) is available starting September 9, 2026 to December 10, 2026.

Regular hours of work are between the hours of 4:00pm – 10:00pm. Labs will be scheduled on Wednesday and/or Thursday evenings at the New Westminster campus and specific days will be assigned based on course scheduling requirements and staff availability.

Successful candidate must be available for occasional work at all Douglas College campuses and offsite locations.
