The Senior Merchandising
Manager is leading the Little Burgundy merchandisers and guiding them to achieve their goals as well as the company goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage all replenishment of product, including setting models and transfers for their assigned brands and categories.
- Develop, enhance, and leverage reporting tools and analytics to generate actionable insights that drive sales, optimize inventory turns, and improve overall profitability.
- Manage the merchandising team to support growth initiatives and achieve sales targets across key stores, including current openings, remodels, relocations, and focus stores.
- Plan and manage Return-to-Vendor (RTV) activities in alignment with warehouse capacity, store operations, inventory flow, and stock turn objectives.
- Ensure allocation models, replenishment strategies, and transfer decisions are aligned with store capacity, inventory needs, and performance trends.
- Coordinate and optimize inter-store and regional transfers to maximize sales opportunities and inventory productivity,
enabling effective execution by Merchandisers.
- Maintain and manage a comprehensive monthly calendar to align key activities such as holidays, RTVs, transfers, and other operational priorities.
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales and inventory performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend data-driven actions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key departments to support strategic initiatives and business projects.
- Provide regular updates and insights to leadership, ensuring key information and business developments are clearly communicated and actionable.
Requirements - 4–7+ years of experience in merchandising, allocation, or planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Marketing, Finance) preferred.
- Advanced analytical skills (Excel, retail math, forecasting).
- Solid understanding of retail KPIs (sell-through, GM%, weeks of supply).
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including bilingual (French and English).
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and high-performance environment.
- Ability to operate a computer and use relevant software applications, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel); knowledge of the JESTA program is considered an asset.
