Job Title: Senior Oracle PBCS Specialist

Location: Toronto, ON (Remote)

We're looking for a Senior Oracle Budgeting and Planning (PBCS) Specialist to support enterprise Planning and Forecasting, Financial Reporting, and Period Close processes for an insurance industry client. This role requires deep functional and technical expertise in Oracle PBCS, Essbase, and Hyperion Planning 11.2.x, partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, and IT stakeholders.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Serve as subject matter expert on Oracle PBCS, Hyperion Planning, and Essbase
- Configure the system to align with business process requirements
- Develop test scenarios and scripts; lead unit, integration, and acceptance testing
- Mentor and coach team members; act as main point of contact for the client
- Facilitate train-the-trainer and end-user training
- Work as a technical consultant on moderate-complexity solutions
- Troubleshoot customer issues and implement proactive fixes
- Engage directly with external customers and identify further opportunities within the client organization

Required Skills:





- 5+ years with Oracle Hyperion Planning and/or Oracle EPM Cloud PBCS (Workforce Planning, Capex Planning, Project Planning modules), Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFR), and data integration tools (DRM, FDMEE, ODI) — with 2+ full implementations
- 5+ years hands-on experience upgrading from Hyperion Planning/Essbase to Oracle EPM Cloud PBCS
- 5+ years expert-level experience developing Business Rules and Essbase scripts
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Experience with full software lifecycle methodology
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of financial budgeting and forecasting processes, P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow across industries
- Ability to advise clients on planning, budgeting, and forecasting best practices
- Undergraduate degree in Finance or equivalent experience

Nice to Have:

- Graduate degree in Finance
- Oracle EPM PBCS certification
- Automation experience (REST API, SQL, EPMAutomate)
