The Senior Research Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing custom research projects from proposal to completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with robust analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in conducting custom studies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
As a member of the YouGov Canada team, you will:
- Develop research proposals and design methodologies that address client business objectives and information needs
- Serve as a trusted advisor by maintaining deep knowledge of category trends, market dynamics, and research best practices across key accounts
- Translate research findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations that support client decision-making
- Present research findings, insights, and recommendations in a clear, concise, and compelling manner
- Lead and manage custom research studies from inception through delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure research execution meets quality standards, internal protocols, and client requirements
- Train, mentor, and coach junior research staff, supporting their professional growth and research capabilities through ongoing review, feedback, and adherence to best practices
- Translate research findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations that support client decision-making.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with sports, sponsorship research
- Experience with syndicated data platforms
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools, CRM’s, and Client Management Applications (ex. Tableau, PowerBI, Salesforce, Netsuite, Catalyst etc.)
- Experience working with programming languages (ex. SPSS, R, SQL, etc.)
- Experience working with Rosetta Studios
- Exposure to qualitative methodologies
- Prior experience managing or developing others
