We are looking for a fulltime permanent Speech Language Pathologist to join our Edmonton team!

Position Overview
CFASA is seeking a full‑time Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team, supporting children and families in‑home/community services (FSCD funded & Private).

This role offers the chance to deliver neurodiversity‑affirming, strengths‑based speech‑language pathology services that are meaningful, functional, and family‑centered.

This role is well suited to an SLP who values variety in their work, autonomy in clinical decision‑making, strong collaboration with families, and making a tangible impact in the lives of children and families.

This is a permanent, full‑time position (1.0 FTE / 35 hours per week), with flexibility in scheduling, hybrid service delivery (in‑person and virtual) and opportunities to bank time.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Services & Service Delivery

Provide neurodiversity‑affirming, person‑and family‑centered speech‑language pathology services in‑home settings and community environments.

Conduct standardized and non‑standardized assessments to support individualized, functional goal development.

Develop, implement, and evaluate Individualized service plans (ISPs) aligned with the child’s strengths, needs, and family priorities.

Deliver direct intervention using naturalistic, child‑led, and evidence‑informed approaches.

Support communication development across speech, language, social communication, and AAC, as appropriate.

Collaboration & Family Support

Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, caregivers, and team members.

Provide parent coaching, consultation,



and education to support communication within everyday routines and environments.

Team Support, Workshops & Capacity Building

Provide mentorship, coaching, and clinical guidance to Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) implementing SLP strategies.

Plan and facilitate workshops or training sessions for families, staff, or community partners (e.g., communication development, AAC).

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and collaborative planning.

Contribute to CFASA‑wide initiatives, professional learning opportunities, and continuous improvement efforts.

Documentation & Professional Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including assessments, service plans, progress reports, and required incident reports.

Collect and analyze data to inform clinical decision‑making and service effectiveness.

Adhere to CFASA policies, professional standards, and ethical guidelines.

Stay current with evidence‑based practices and contribute to professional learning within the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements

Master’s Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology

Registered and in good standing with ACSLPA

Experience supporting Autistic children and/or children with neurodevelopmental differences preferred

Strong commitment to neurodiversity‑affirming practice

Experience with AAC is an asset

Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (work related mileage reimbursed)

Current Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check (costs reimbursed)

Valid Child and Infant CPR and First Aid certification (reimbursed)
