Role Description The Senior Service Designer role is a contract position based in Toronto, ON (or Montreal QC), with a hybrid work model that combines on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for designing end-to-end services and customer journeys, from research and discovery through concept development and detailed service blueprints. Day-to-day tasks include conducting qualitative research, facilitating workshops with stakeholders, mapping user and operational processes, and translating insights into service concepts and prototypes.

The Senior Service Designer will collaborate closely with strategy, product, UX, and technology teams to ensure services are feasible, desirable, and aligned with client goals. The role also involves preparing transparent deliverables, presenting work to client teams,



and supporting the implementation of new or improved services.

Qualifications

- Strong service design skills, including service blueprinting, journey mapping, ecosystem mapping, and experience prototyping.
- Expertise in human-centered design, qualitative research, stakeholder interviews, and workshop design and facilitation.
- Ability to translate insights into clear concepts, requirements, and user stories, and collaborate effectively with UX, product, and technology teams.
- Experience working in or with consulting, agency, or professional services environments, ideally on complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Proficiency with common design and collaboration tools (e.g., Figma or similar platforms).
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to tell a compelling story through presentations and visual deliverables.
- Proven track record leading projects end to end, managing timelines, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Service Design, Design, Business, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in sectors such as retail, apparel, and CPG is an asset.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment in Toronto, with occasional travel, client meetings and onsite workshops.
