The Digital Platforms Manager is a hands‑on, operationally focused role at the centre of our digital ecosystem. Working closely with the Director of Technology and Digital Strategy, this person will own the management, operations, and continuous improvement of a multisite WordPress network of 65 properties, as well as an iOS/Android mobile app that can be configured to serve any of those properties.

This is an ideal opportunity for a digitally fluent, sports‑passionate professional who brings a mix of technical depth and operational capability. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable driving strategy and rolling up their sleeves — someone who takes ownership of complex digital operations and proactively identifies opportunities to improve them.

Key Responsibilities
WordPress & Website Operations

Own the day-to-day management of a 65‑site WordPress multisite network

Manage user roles and permissions, ensuring appropriate access controls are maintained

Oversee navigation menus, site settings, and plugins across all properties

Troubleshoot and resolve HTML/CSS issues, coordinating fixes with vendor partners as required

Build current contest and microsite pages using best‑practices

Collaborate with league and team partners on app strategy and user journeys

Lead configuration and deployment of marketing cards, menus and navigation across iOS and Android for individual properties

Coordinate with vendor on release planning and go‑to‑market execution for updates including app store listings

Digital Marketing & Communications

With Marketing team, manage weekly email and push notifications campaigns including list management and performance monitoring

Lead online contest setup, management, and coordinate fulfillment

With an external partner, oversee online advertising operations with a solid understanding of ad systems and performance metrics

Analytics & Audience Insights





Own the review and dissemination of audience reports from Google Analytics and Data Studio

Derive actionable insights from analytics data and make recommendations to inform product and content decisions

Monitor social media listening tools and proactively surface relevant insights to stakeholders

Partner & Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as a primary point of contact for league and team partners on digital matters

Own small and medium‑sized digital projects from intake through to delivery

Manage vendor relationships and escalate technical issues, following through to resolution

Documentation & Process Improvement

Develop and maintain explicit, thorough documentation for all processes, workflows, and configurations

Own the team's knowledge base and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency

Qualifications & Skills
Technical Skills

Intermediate proficiency in WordPress administration (multisite experience a strong asset)

Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for troubleshooting and minor edits

Familiarity with REST APIs, third‑party integrations, and the exchange of data between platforms

Basic image editing skills (resizing, cropping, optimization)

SEO knowledge and best practices

Experience with Google Analytics and/or Data Studio, including insight generation

Proficiency with email marketing and push notification platforms (eg MailChimp), including list management and reporting

Working knowledge of online advertising systems (display, programmatic, or social)

Experience with social media listening or monitoring tools

Domain Knowledge





Excellent knowledge of sports statistics, with particular depth in hockey

Familiarity with the Canadian junior hockey landscape is a strong asset

Strong eye for UX and usability — able to identify friction points and advocate confidently for the user

Passion for digital technology and emerging platforms

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

A note on Content: While strong writing skills are essential for documentation, internal communication, and partner correspondence, this role does not require the creation of public‑facing editorial content for the websites.

This is a hybrid role. The successful candidate must be available to work from our Etobicoke, ON office a minimum of two days per week.

Able to work versatile and/or overtime hours as needed (including evenings and weekends)
