Barminco Canada is seeking Underground Electricians to join their team at the Red Chris Mine in northern British Columbia. This is an exciting prospect to work for one of the world’s largest hard-rock underground mining companies, offering a challenging and rewarding environment. What You’ll Need

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency

Valid Driver’s License; manual transmission experience required

General computer skills

Ability to provide your own basic hand tools (most tools provided)





Ability to do shift camp work on a rotational basis (12-hour days, 2 weeks on/2 weeks off)

Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 poundsManual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination

Ability to work in extreme weather and moderate to high noise environments

Successful completion of a pre-employment Fit for Duty medical including alcohol and drug screening

What Will Make You Stand Out

3-5 years of experience working underground as an Underground Electrician

Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification or 4th year apprentice

Sandvik development drill maintenance experience

Thorough knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations, and BC Electrical Code

Understanding of PLC control systems

Experience with high voltage power distribution systems (13.8Kv, 600V motor control centers, variable frequency drives)
