Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for their Healthcare Canada Public Sector team, serving customers across the Canadian Prairies from Calgary, Alberta. This senior-level role places you at the centre of a major technology transformation in Canadian healthcare.

As an SA, you will own customer technical engagements, diving deep with them and being hands‑on with technology. You will work with customers to set up resilient, secure, high-performing AWS solutions. The SA possesses technical and business acumen that enables engagement at all levels of an organization, plus the ability to dive deep and build optimally. You will be comfortable presenting on complex software architectures to engineers but also explaining such concepts to non-technical executives. You will author whitepapers and reference architectures, deliver technical webinars, speak at public events, and file patents for what could potentially be future features/products.

Key Responsibilities

Owning technical engagements at all levels

Removing technical account management barriers

Defining implementation and transition architectures

Leading RFI and RFP technical responses

Helping customers achieve project and overall technical success

Assisting strategic solution providers with AWS‑oriented definitions and implementations

Developing and delivering presentations, discussions, product demos, sample solutions, blog posts, and white papers

Working closely with account managers and business developers to ensure customer success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS cloud

Supporting and promoting AWS consulting and technology partners





Gaining industry recognition as a regular attendee, panelist and keynote speaker at AWS and third‑party technology conferences

Capturing and sharing knowledge with the broader AWS Solutions Architecture community

Basic Requirements

10+ years of specific technology domain areas experience (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)

10+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Skilled or Cloud DevOps Engineering)

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals

Understanding of government compliance, security frameworks and regulations

Experience working in healthcare or with healthcare customers

Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $146,000 – $211,600 CAD annually. Total compensation package may include sign‑on payments and RSUs. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D;), RRSP, DPSP, paid time off, and health and well‑being resources.

10+ years of experience in technology domains including software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics. 10+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructure. Cloud Technology Certification required (Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional, or Cloud DevOps Engineering).
