Quality Control Inspector – Fabrication and Rubber Lining Location Surrey, BC
Work Arrangement Onsite, split shift (initially day shift for training, then 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.)

What you’ll do Inspection & Quality Control: Perform receiving inspections of raw materials and fabrications from suppliers and subcontractors, including physical goods and quality documents, ensuring acceptance, rejection, or correction as required. Conduct in-process and final inspections of fabricated steel and rubber-lined products to verify compliance with drawings, internal standards, customer specifications, and applicable codes.
Documentation & Reporting: Document inspection results by completing reports, signoffs, and logs. Build quality document packages for customer submission and review quality documents for subcontracted fabrications. Generate nonconformance reports as needed.
Technical Expertise: Read and interpret technical drawings and regulatory and customer specifications.
Apply knowledge of MTRs, NDE, welding codes, and rubber lining specifications.

What you’ll bring Must-haves: Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical-related field or 5 years of quality control experience in metal fabrications
Minimum 3 years of experience inspecting fabricated steel and/or rubber-lined products
CSA W178.2 Level II Weld Inspector certification
CGSB Level 2 MPI/LPI certification or eligibility for certification
Nice-to-haves: Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment
AMPP CIP (NACE) level 1 or 2 certification
First Aid certification and confined space entry training
Experience with SAP and intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat)

Compensation $49-53/hr
This vacancy is for a 1 year contract, with chance of permanent employment when complete.
