You’ll be responsible for developing detailed technical designs for underground services, road networks, drainage systems and complex infrastructure. You’ll apply engineering standards, perform sizing calculations, produce technical drawings and specifications, and ensure solutions are integrated to suit site constraints and various environments. You’ll also help with technical project management in demanding sectors, such as heavy industry, mining and metallurgy, energy, petrochemicals, the setting and sustainable development.

Produce the technical drawings and specifications required to deliver projects
Design civil infrastructure, including underground utility networks, roadworks, stormwater drainage systems and retention ponds
Help plan, organize and monitor engineering activities
Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, schedules, budgets, as well as technical specifications and related reports
Ensure quality control of the deliverables produced by engineers and technicians
Assess client satisfaction and maintain close, long-term professional relationships with clients and their representatives
Coordinate and mentor a multidisciplinary team of infrastructure engineers and technicians
Ensure technical coordination with the various engineering disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical, environmental, etc.)
Assess engineering hour requirements and help prepare proposals

Summary of certifications and job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
Four to five years of experience in infrastructure design, including roads, underground services and stormwater management
Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
Knowledge of PSWMM and EPANET modelling software
Knowledge of Civil 3D design software
ASPConstruction card
Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
