We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant hospitality team here at C'est Choutte Hospitality group! Bar Milpa is growing to become one of Calgary's go to spot for great Cocktails and small format share plates! As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, friendly communication, and expert knowledge of our menu.

Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with a positive attitude.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems, including Lightspeed
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to upsell menu items and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, ensuring proper change is given.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols.




- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues promptly.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, supporting overall restaurant operations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables efficiently without compromising service quality.
- Engage with guests to ensure their needs are met, addressing concerns promptly to foster a welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements

- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus.
- ProServe certification is a must
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor.
- Ability to handle food safely and follow sanitation guidelines diligently.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, calculating bills, and managing transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.
- Experience in food handling, serving, or hospitality roles is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
