POSITION TYPE: Internship - 4 Months from Start Date (with possibility of extension)LOCATION: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)COMPENSATION: $17.95/hour, paid biweeklySTART DATE: September 2026ORGANIZATION SUMMARYThe Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) was formed in 1975 to preserve and enhance the Canadian music industry and to contribute towards higher artistic and industry standards. CARAS' mandate is comprised of four key pillars: Educate through our music education charity MusiCounts' programs and initiatives, Develop emerging artists through mentorship and development programs, Celebrate Canadian artists through The JUNO Awards and other year-round initiatives, and Honour music industry icons through the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.OVERALL POSITIONThe Intern, Partnerships will support the CARAS Partnerships department in preparing sponsorship materials and coordinating partner-related activities. This role provides hands-on experience in partnership management and event support while helping ensure the smooth execution of CARAS' core initiatives.RESPONSIBILITIESAssist the Partnerships team in supporting day-to-day activities to drive partner engagement and successHelp research and prospect potential brand partnersDevelop customized pitch materials and presentations aligned with the objectives of prospective brand sponsorsAssist with coordination and preparation for 2027 JUNO Week partner activities and other CARAS milestones, including tracking deliverables and assetsTake notes during internal and external meetings and help maintain organized documentation, including proposals, contracts, approvals,
and asset inventory trackingCollaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of partnership initiatives and activationsEXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREDCurrently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary program in marketing, sponsorship, business, or a related field.Must be a domestic student (Permanent Resident / Canadian Citizen).Previous experience or strong interest in sponsorship, partnerships and brand activationStrong presentation design skills, including layout, formatting, and visual storytellingOutstanding attention to detailProficiency with Google WorkspaceExcellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressureHighly resourceful with robust time management skillsProfessional, organized, and able to juggle multiple priorities at onceInterested in music and culture and how brands are activating in sponsorshipExperience working in events is considered an assetBENEFITS OF WORKING AT CARASHybrid model: 2 to 3 days weekly in the office in TorontoSocial, music, and cultural activitiesPositive & supportive cultureWe want to thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for interviews will be contacted.CARAS embraces the diversity of all people, including those with disabilities, and aims to maintain an inclusive and equitable workplace where employees feel valued, respected, and supported.
