Vale Base Metals is a global supplier of critical minerals. We are seeking a Welder Fitter to join our Maintenance Department in Sudbury, Ontario. Relocation is required for this role.

The Opportunity
Permanent on‑site position working shift to support a 24‑hour operation.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all metal fabrication, metal welding including pressure welding, brazing, cutting, and gouging.

Read and interpret structural steel drawings, pipe and pressure vessel drawings.

Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, dismantle, modify and repair plate and structural steel, plant and mine equipment.

Align with work safety policies and safety regulations.

About You
Fully Licensed Journeyperson

Trade Certification in Metal Fabricator/Plate worker (437A Red Seal) is required and CWB Certified.

Experience





Minimum 4 years of progressive industrial experience is preferred.

Skills

Experience with oxy‑fuel and plasma arc cutting.

Knowledge of welding codes and standards.

Experience with rigging and material handling.

Knowledge of specific welding hazards to protect self and others is required.

Experience with metal working equipment (shear, brake press, rolls, radial drill, and power saws).

Ability to interpret and work off shop drawings in a custom fabrication environment.

Pay and Benefits
Minimum Starting Hourly Rate: $50.338
