Overview
BayCare Health Systems is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team at St Joseph’s Women’s & St Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. This role focuses on a niche patient population, providing therapy services for parents of babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and pediatric patients ages 5‑17 with cardiac issues and their families.

Responsibilities

Meet with patients to conduct psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual and family therapy as appropriate.

Perform case management activities, discharge planning, and maintain accurate documentation.

Provide therapeutic and educational interventions, and connect patients with community resources.

Participate in marketing and public relations events related to these populations.

Position Details

Location: St Joseph’s Women's and Children's Hospitals – Tampa, FL

Employment Status: Full time, Exempt

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Weekend Requirement: None

On‑Call: No

Required Licenses and Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Florida License: LCSW (Social Work), LMHC (Mental Health),



LMFT (Marriage & Family)

Education

Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.

Preferred Experience

Post‑licensure experience of at least 2 years.

Experience with pediatric populations such as cardiac, oncology, NICU, or high‑risk OB.
