We are looking for a Tax Technician to join our team—a role where your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes, and your ambition will help shape what comes next. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Investment bookkeeping for trusts and estates
Preparation of trust and estate tax returns
Preparation of capital dividend elections
Preparation of T4 and T5 slips
Preparation of personal tax returns
Preparation of the election forms
Preparation of responses to CRA processing review and audit requests
Assist with calculations as needed
A successful candidate will have:
2-3 years prior tax season experience (minimum)
2-3 years public practice accounting experience (minimum)
Entrepreneurial mindset with commitment to client service and teamwork
Strong desire and dedication to work, learn, and thrive in a fast passed, innovative, and dynamic environment
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Self-motivation and a strong work ethic with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

Your schedule: Monday to Friday
Where you'll work: Calgary, AB
Working Conditions: You will be expected to work in a hybrid office environment at our Calgary office. During peak periods, there might be a requirement to work overtime to meet project deadlines and support team needs.
