Associate/Senior Associate – Transaction Services (Toronto)
BDO is hiring a dynamic professional to join the Deal Advisory team in Toronto. The successful candidate will own the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Conduct market, industry, and company research.

Evaluate a business’s historical performance and financial projections.

Understand key accounting policies and management control environments.

Perform in‑depth financial analyses, including assessing sustainability of earnings and cash flows, operating working capital, quality of assets, and key drivers of financial performance (revenues, margins, operating expenses, etc.).

Interpret analyses and assist in preparing detailed buy‑side and sell‑side due diligence reports.

Undertake smaller assignments or assist on larger assignments reporting to a manager, senior manager, or partner.

Support business development initiatives, including pitches and proposals.

Communicate directly with transaction counterparties (client, target, buyers, advisors, lenders).

Contribute to effective team collaboration and morale.





Occasionally support other BDO business units in cross‑functional roles (e.g., Valuations, M&A;, Commercial Due Diligence, Restructuring).

Qualifications

Existing CPA designation; pursuit of CBV or CFA considered an asset.

2-3 years of professional experience, with at least 1 year in transaction services considered an asset.

Highly motivated, autonomous, and able to work under pressure.

Robust attention to detail, business acumen, and analytical skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Skilled in building networks and effective working relationships.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge of VBA, macros, Power Pivot, Power Query, and Power BI is an asset.

Compensation
Expected range: $57,000 - $104,000 (annual).
