Overview

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our rapidly expanding team is seeking an Intermediate Accountant who is enthusiastic about new business growth and can deliver strong results in back-end accounting processes and systems. This role requires a solid working knowledge of GAAP and strong financial analysis skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist with full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of restaurants
- Prepare monthly and annual reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts, journal entries (including inventory and accruals), and supporting working papers
- Contribute to the preparation of month-end reporting packages and related financial analysis
- Support accounts payable,



ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments
- Assist with tax compliance, including GST/HST/PST returns and coordination with tax preparers and external auditors
- Mentor and provide day-to-day support to junior accounting staff
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc reporting and special projects
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting systems, processes, and reporting workflows

QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of intermediate accounting experience
- University degree in accounting; CPA designation (in progress or completed) preferred
- Solid experience in full-cycle accounting
- Familiarity with Xero and/or hospitality industry experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), business finance, and applicable tax laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

LOCATION

This hybrid role requires a minimum of 3 days on-site at our Vancouver, BC office.

COMPENSATION

Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
