Pharmaceutical Sales Representative - Edmonton
Our client, a leading research-based pharmaceutical organization, is seeking a high-performing Pharmaceutical Sales Representative to drive growth within a portfolio focused on addressing significant unmet patient needs. This is a true ownership role, centered on delivering results, influencing treatment decisions, and driving meaningful impact through trusted partnerships with General Practitioners and community healthcare providers. You will operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment where strong commercial execution, customer engagement, and territory management are critical to success.
Responsibilities
Own and deliver territory sales objectives through focused and disciplined execution
Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan aligned with brand priorities and local market dynamics
Identify opportunities for growth and adapt strategies to maximize performance
Build and maintain strong relationships with General Practitioners, Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, pharmacists, and other key healthcare professionals
Serve as a trusted resource by delivering impactful, compliant, and customer-focused clinical discussions
Translate clinical evidence into meaningful patient and practice-focused conversations
Develop a deep understanding of the disease state, treatment landscape, customer needs, and competitive environment
Leverage customer insights and territory analytics to prioritize opportunities and drive results
Support and participate in educational programs, meetings, and conferences
Utilize digital and omni-channel engagement tools to enhance customer interactions and reach
Maintain accurate CRM documentation, reporting, and territory planning activities
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to support customer and business objectives
Operate in full compliance with all company policies, industry guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, or a related field
2+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably calling on General Practitioners, Family Physicians
Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets
Robust understanding of the Canadian healthcare landscape and the factors influencing prescribing decisions within the community setting
Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory
Flexibility for occasional evening and weekend commitments
Demonstrated ability to build credibility and long-term customer relationships
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and execute effectively
Confident communicator capable of translating clinical information into relevant and meaningful customer discussions
Highly organized with strong planning and territory management skills
Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working independently
Proven track record of collaboration and contributing to a high-performing team culture
