Responsibilities
Partner with sales managers to develop and maintain positive employee relations and an engaged workforce, and to implement new and innovative HR solutions.
Provide human resource advice and consultation to retail employees and management on all HR-related matters.
Ensure compliance with provincial and federal laws and regulations relating to employment standards, human rights, privacy legislation, and employment equity.
Drive diversity, wellness, people analytics, and employee engagement initiatives.
Deliver HR training and sharing of best practices.
Work closely with the Director of Human Resources on research, development, and management of the performance review process.
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
Act as a lead in the continuous development, delivery, and success of the focused training, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
Perform other related duties.
Your Playground
Bilingual in French and English.
Three to five years of generalist experience in human resources management.
Minimum of a post‑secondary diploma in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development, or a related program of study – a Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
Specialized training in employment law, organizational development, employee relations, safety, training, leadership, and proactive employment relations is considered an asset.
Certification in HR preferred.
Knowledge of provincial employment laws and practices on a national level.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
High level of confidentiality and diplomacy.
