Duties
- Assist in the installation and repair of roofing materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal panels using hand tools and power tools
- Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring safety measures are in place
- Follow blueprints and technical instructions to ensure accurate placement of roofing components
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Use caulking tools to seal joints and prevent leaks, maintaining high-quality standards
- Read and interpret construction blueprints to support precise installation processes
- Support carpentry tasks related to roof framing or structural adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste properly
Qualifications
- Experience with hand tools, construction projects, or handyman work is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during roofing tasks
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and construction plans
- Carpentry skills or experience working with wood framing is a plus
- Familiarity with caulking techniques for sealing joints and preventing leaks
- Prior construction or roofing experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated learners
