Hi-Hog's shipping department is looking for a motivated, customer service oriented shipper, who has the ability to perform under pressure and on a schedule. Join our dynamic Shipping and Receiving Team as a Shipper/Receiver, where your energy and precision will drive the logistics side of our operation forward! In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently supporting Sales and Production teams by making sure loading, unloading and inventory placement is handled with care and a strong attention to detail.

Your expertise with forklifts and load securement strategies will be key to maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity. The ideal candidate has the ability to be creative and think outside the box when it comes to loading trucks and trailers, as the loads we ship are generally not made up of pallets or crates, but different pieces of equipment being placed on the trailer in a certain order or arrangement for multiple drops, and being secured as it is loaded, and remain secure while unloaded throughout the delivery route.

Duties:

- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment to load and unload shipments.
- Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against purchase orders, and document receipt using warehouse management systems such as MRP or AS400.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products accurately for delivery or transfer.




- Maintain organized storage areas to optimize space utilization and facilitate efficient order picking and inventory control.
- Assist with order fulfillment processes including order picking, packing, and ensuring timely dispatch of goods.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and storage areas to uphold safety standards and prevent damages.
- Support Sales distribution activities by coordinating with team members to load trucks and ensure accurate shipment documentation.

Experience/What we are looking for:

- High school diploma and at least five years of shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Hands-on experience with Domestic and International shipping.
- Experience with equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, strapping machines.
- Clear written and verbal English communication skills.
- A proactive, self-starting approach with accountability to shipping requirements.
- General familiarity with manufacturing/fabrication environment, shop trades and materials, including welding, fabrication and paint.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting, and work in a physically demanding environment. Working knowledge of protected lifting methods.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and clean driver’s abstract.




- A reliable work history and strong attendance record.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety protocols.
- Flatbed & Flat Deck Loading: Securing Finished Goods, Raw Materials such as steel, or heavy piping outdoors.
- Industrial Yard: Operating heavy yard forklifts while ensuring commercial delivery trucks are properly balanced and tied down before leaving site.
- Your are required to hold a Current Forklift License and Load Securement Cetificate.

Nice to have: Current First Aid or crane operator certification. Working knowledge of Global Shop Systems ERP. Class 1 License, Working knowledge of WHMIS and occupational health and safety requirements.

Work Environment:

- Busy indoor and outdoor manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, odours and changing temperatures.
- Hands-on work that requires physical effort and the use of appropriate PPE.

This role is paid and offers a vibrant work environment where your skills directly contribute to the success of our operations! Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
