JBC Customs is looking for a reliable, hardworking Fabrication Shop Helper & Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a hands-on position that combines general shop and fabrication support with local pickups and deliveries.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in an active fabrication shop, can safely operate larger trucks and equipment, and is willing to jump in wherever help is needed.

Responsibilities

- Assist welders and fabricators with day-to-day shop tasks
- Load and unload steel, materials, equipment and completed projects
- Complete local pickups and deliveries to suppliers, customers and job sites
- Safely operate company pickup trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles
- Operate forklifts to move, load and unload materials
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Assist with material handling, organization and preparation
- Help keep the shop, yard, vehicles and work areas clean and organized
- Secure loads properly for transportation
- Assist with receiving incoming materials and deliveries
- Perform basic shop and general labour duties as required
- Follow all company health and safety procedures




- Complete daily vehicle and equipment checks as required
- Assist with other duties as needed to support the fabrication team

Requirements
- Valid Ontario G driver's licence
- Clean/acceptable driver's abstract
- Must meet the eligibility requirements of the company's commercial automobile insurance policy
- Previous experience operating pickup trucks, larger/heavy-duty vehicles and trailers
- Previous forklift operating experience
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
- Previous experience working in a fabrication, welding, construction, manufacturing or similar shop workplace is preferred
- Comfortable working around steel, machinery, welding and fabrication equipment
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, loading and moving materials throughout the workday
- Able to work safely and independently
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
