Job Summary
We're hiring an experienced Skilled Carpenter for our residential job sites. You'll report to the Site Foreman and work as part of a core crew alongside the Foreman and a Construction Labourer. This role isn't a supervisory position — the Foreman directs the crew — but it does require a thorough, hands-on understanding of how a building actually comes together, so you can be handed a task and get it done right without needing to be walked through it step by step.
What You'll Do
- Frame interior walls to plan, accurately and efficiently
- Frame roof systems
- Read and work from construction drawings and site plans with a strong degree of independence
- Take on assigned framing and carpentry tasks and complete them without close supervision
- Coordinate material and equipment needs with the Site Foreman
- Check your own work for quality and code compliance before it moves to the next stage
- Enforce safety procedures and PPE use on site
- Flag material or site issues to the Foreman before they become delays
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on residential construction experience
- Proven ability to frame interior walls and roof systems independently
- Robust ability to read and work from construction drawings
- Able to take on a task from the Foreman and execute it without needing close supervision
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Valid driver's licence
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm
- Consistent daytime hours, no rotating shifts
