We are seeking a motivated and dependable Skilled Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential contributor to various projects, assisting with site preparation, material handling, and general labour tasks. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure smooth operations and successful project completion. This position offers an engaging environment where your hands-on skills and proactive attitude will make a real difference.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation of work sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and organizing materials to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Perform basic construction tasks such as mixing concrete, loading/unloading materials, and installing fixtures under supervision.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and correctly to support various trades.
- Support skilled tradespeople by holding materials, measuring, cutting, or assembling components as directed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by regularly tidying work areas and disposing of waste responsibly.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times on site.
- Report any hazards or issues immediately to supervisors to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Experience
- Prior experience in construction, renovation, or general labour roles is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is highly valued
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with safety procedures on construction sites or similar environments is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Basic understanding of tools, equipment, and materials used in labour-intensive projects
- A proactive attitude with a focus on teamwork, safety, and efficiency
