POSITION SUMMARY

We're looking for a creative, social-first Content Creator to join our retained lottery client team and help bring the excitement of winning moments to life across Ontario. This role is focused on capturing authentic, in-the-moment content that celebrates winners, communities and the positive impact of the lottery, creating social content that feels genuine, timely and unmistakably on-brand.

Working alongside the broader retained creative and production team, you'll travel to monthly draws, winner celebrations and community moments to capture real stories as they unfold. While larger campaign productions will deliver polished hero content that could be leveraged in broadcast, this role is dedicated to documenting the candid, behind-the-scenes and unscripted moments that build connection across social channels.

The ideal candidate has a strong instinct for storytelling, thrives in fast-paced environments, and understands how to create engaging, mobile-first content that feels authentic rather than overproduced. You'll shoot, edit and deliver social-first content with speed and agility, capturing candid, unscripted moments and translating them into timely content designed for today's social platforms.

This role blends planning, collaboration, creative production, and regular time in communities across Ontario. Some periods are focused on shaping upcoming work, while others involve travelling to capture meaningful moments firsthand. The pace and location of the work naturally evolve throughout the month, making flexibility, organization, and adaptability essential.

JOB DUTIES

Content Creation & Production:

- Capture social-first photo and video content for Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and other key platforms.
- Film and edit short-form and longer-form videos, including cutting down longer-form content for social formats and placements.
- Utilize both iPhone and compact mirrorless digital cinema cameras (ex. Sony FX3) to shoot platform-appropriate content.
- Edit content using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator), Canva and mobile editing tools.

Content Strategy & Trend Awareness:
- Stay up to date with platform trends, emerging content formats, and best practices for social media content.
- Propose new and inventive content ideas to enhance engagement.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand voice,



aesthetic, and audience preferences.

Creative Direction & Brand Alignment:
- Work closely with PR Agency on social strategy and content calendar execution.
- Provide visual guidance on social assets, ensuring consistency in look, feel, and messaging.

Social Platform Expertise:
- Understand how to capture and optimize content within social platforms (Instagram Creator Tools, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.).
- Apply platform-native editing tools and best practices for each channel.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of experience in social media content creation, photography and video production (short and long-form).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects), Canva and mobile editing tools.
- Experience creating social-first content for consumer brands, live events, communities or purpose-led organizations.
- A passion for social storytelling, platform trends and capturing authentic, in-the-moment content.
- Strong eye for aesthetics, composition and visual storytelling.
- Comfortable travelling regularly across Ontario and adapting to changing schedules in a live-event environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Familiarity with AI-powered editing and content creation tools.
- Understanding of platform-native content and social best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with experience working across integrated agency teams, including clients, PR partners, production crews and community stakeholders.

WORKING CONDITIONS

- Must be located in Toronto/GTA.
- Available for monthly travel across the province to capture winner stories and community content.
- Because every story is different, travel locations, schedules and production requirements vary from month to month. Flexibility is essential, as work will include evenings, weekends and overnight travel depending on where the stories take us.
