About Nova Scotia Spirit Co.

We're a Nova Scotia company behind some of Atlantic Canada's fastest-growing beverage brands, including Blue Lobster, Annapolis Cider Company, and Cape Breton Beverages (manufacturer and distributor of brands including Pepsi, Gatorade, and Alani-Nu).

We're a team that moves quickly, tries new things, and believes outstanding marketing comes from creativity, not red tape. One day we're filming content on a beach, the next we're launching a product, running a tasting event, or jumping on a trend before it peaks.

We make award-winning spirits and beverages, but we're really in the business of building brands people genuinely connect with.

If you love social media, internet culture, content creation, and bringing communities together, you'll fit right in.

About the Role:

This role is ideal for someone who spends a little too much time on TikTok, notices great brand marketing in the wild, and is always thinking, "we could do something cool with that."

You'll be the day-to-day voice behind three growing brands, creating content, spotting trends, engaging with our communities, and helping bring campaigns and events to life.

You'll have real ownership from day one. We're looking for someone who brings ideas, takes initiative, and isn't afraid to try something new.

Expect a mix of content creation, community management, event marketing, creator partnerships, and plenty of opportunities to leave your mark on brands that are growing fast!

Social Media & Community (80%)

- Create and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn for Blue Lobster, Annapolis Cider Company, and Cape Breton Beverages (Pepsi brands)
- Concept, film, edit, design, write, and schedule content that reflects each brand's unique personality and goals.

- Be the friendly voice behind our brands, responding to comments, DMs, reviews, and mentions in a timely and authentic way.
- Build relationships with followers, local businesses, creators, and community partners to grow engagement and brand loyalty.
- Manage three content calendars and keep projects, requests, and deadlines organized and on track.
- Bring forward content ideas, campaign concepts, and community initiatives that help our brands stand out.
- Test new content formats, platform features, and creative ideas, then share learnings and recommendations with the team.
- Stay on top of platform trends, emerging creators, and new opportunities that can help our brands grow.
- Monitor community conversations and flag customer concerns, opportunities, or sensitive issues to the marketing team.
- Contribute ideas and insights that help shape content strategies across our brands.
- Pull monthly performance reports and share observations, wins, and opportunities for improvement.
- Protect and strengthen each brand's unique voice, tone, and visual identity.
- Support collaborations, giveaways, product launches, and community campaigns.
- Build relationships with creators and influencers, from outreach and gifting to campaign execution and performance tracking.
- Follow responsible alcohol marketing practices, including age-gated content and responsible consumption messaging.

Events (20%)

- Represent our brands at events, activations, tastings,

community experiences, and community (influencer and/or media) events across Nova Scotia.
- Help plan and execute memorable brand experiences that connect consumers with our products.
- Coordinate event logistics including bookings, supplies, run sheets, transportation, setup, and teardown.
- Capture photo and video content on-site so our online communities can experience the event too.
- Support guests, partners, creators, and vendors during events to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Manage post-event content, recaps, performance tracking, and reporting.

You might be our person if you...

- Just finished a program in marketing, communications, business, or something related (co-op, internship, or a personal account you've grown all count)
- Are seriously organized - you can juggle three brand calendars and keep the details straight without being reminded
- Are self-motivated - you take initiative, move quickly, and don't wait to be told what to do
- Are comfortable on camera and behind it and love being hands-on: filming, editing, writing, concepting
- Genuinely enjoy talking to people online and can carry a brand's voice in every reply
- Get internet culture and know how to make a brand feel culturally relevant
- Are curious about the numbers and want to learn how to make creative better with data and analytics
- Are up for events, including some evenings and weekends
- Want in on a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team that's taking Nova Scotia to the world
- Are of legal drinking age (19+), since you'll be working with alcohol brands and event sampling

Sound like you? Send us your resume along with something you've made - a reel, a post, a TikTok, an account you run. We'd rather see your work than read about it.
