This role goes beyond welding as it also involves hands-on work with hoisting, rigging, and structural assembly.We currently run two shifts: Days (Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm & Fridays 6am-12pm) and Afternoons (Monday- Thursday 2:45pm – 1:15am)Role ResponsibilitiesPerform structural welding on carbon steel and steel components using MIG and/or flux core techniquesRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specificationsFinding and fixing faults in weldmentsSafely operate hoisting and rigging equipment to move and position heavy materialsAssemble structural components according to engineering plansInspect welds and assemblies for quality and complianceMaintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all timesOperate forklifts or other material-handling equipment as neededRequired Professional Knowledge, Skills & QualificationsStructural welding experienceProven experience in hoisting and rigging operationsFamiliarity with structural assembly and fabrication processesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbolsExamine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.Robust understanding of workplace safety and PPE requirementsForklift certification is an assetExcellent teamwork and communication skillsWillingness to work in a unionized environmentWe thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.Company ProfileCIMCO specializes in the engineering, design, manufacture, installation and service of complex thermal building solutions for industrial, process cooling and recreational refrigeration and mechanical systems.
