You will support the day-to-day operations of the Legal group while helping advance its use of emerging technology and generative AI. You will contribute to legal technology, data and analytics, knowledge management, records retention and process improvement, while prototyping and evaluating AI‑enabled solutions and supporting pilot programs that turn experimentation into scalable outcomes within CPP Investments’ AI governance and information security requirements. The Team
CPP Investments’ Legal and Compliance functions support the management of legal and regulatory compliance risks across the organization. Within Legal, the Legal Operations team supports the systems, information, processes and technology that enable the function, including legal technology, knowledge management, analytics, records management and emerging AI‑enabled workflows. Accountabilities
Support legal metrics, data analytics and reporting tools, including the maintenance of Legal Tracker and its roadmap Review and maintain content within Legal knowledge management SharePoint sites,
and support documentation and process mapping for internal procedures Support the Legal group’s annual records retention process and assist with data room preparation in collaboration with Technology & Operations Support compliance‑related activities, including scheduling and meeting coordination for select senior Compliance Group members, agenda preparation and follow-up tracking Prototype lightweight AI‑powered tools, workflows and automations using approved enterprise platforms and in accordance with CPP Investments’ AI governance and information security requirements Test and evaluate emerging generative AI models, features and platforms for Legal use cases, and document findings and recommendations Support AI sprint and pilot programs by assisting participants, tracking experiments and helping translate successful outcomes into scalable solutions, while contributing to other legal operations projects as required What You Bring
Preferred 1-3 years of relevant experience Experience working with legal e-billing or other legal technology platforms Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, Excel or other data analytics tools, with the ability to analyze metrics, identify insights and communicate findings clearly Demonstrated hand‑on experience with generative AI tools, including building a tool, workflow, custom GPT, agent, artifact or automation Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple stakeholders Ability to work independently and collaboratively while contributing to a collegial and creative team environment Familiarity with compliance‑related processes and an interest in developing further expertise in this area You are motivated to contribute to something larger than yourself, approach complex challenges with rigor,
