If you have a strong educational background in Electronics, and are looking to apply these skills and learn new ones, we now have an opening in our Support & Sustain Team, based in Hackett's Cove.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills working as part of a Project Team engaged in the technical support for Nautel products.
The responsibilities of the role include:
Supporting our Hardware Development and Verification function, including:
Construction, testing and evaluation of circuits, sub-assemblies and systems;
Preparation and validation of schematics, parts lists, wiring route sheets, test plans, and all product design documentation;
Design and selection of system level and sub-system level components;
Creating and maintaining hardware test cases that verify products meet design requirements;
Performing tests and documenting results on a variety of hardware to verify functional specifications;
Assisting with product hardware release, including publications review;
Managing product change through life cycle and configuration management.
Supporting our Test Engineering function, including:
Development and maintenance of Test Fixtures, including comprehensive documentation and troubleshooting;
Ensuring quality standards on test-related documents and processes, including the creation and maintenance of test plans;
Providing Test Support to resolve escalated test failures;
Analyzing test failures to provide feedback to Quality Assurance and Engineering as part of preventative measures.
Supporting our Test function, including:
Providing additional test capacity by working in the test room on an as-needed basis;
Troubleshooting defective assemblies and documenting results;
Supporting our Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and Production Departments;
Ensuring quality standards and developing/improving related processes when needed, in order to provide effective and efficient levels of support;
Qualifications
Qualifications and skills desired:
Electronic Technician/Technologist qualification (NSCC or equivalent);
Previous experience in a tech role would be an asset;
Knowledge of RF, analogue and digital circuits as well as equipment ventilation and cooling;
Effective at troubleshooting electronic circuits and systems, including use of related test equipment;
Understanding of software development would be an asset;
Use of computer programs such as schematic drawing, mechanical drawing, electronic circuit analysis and/or Labview would be an asset;
Solid problem solving and analytical skills, as well as effective communication skills;
The ability to work effectively as part of a team; as well as independently.
The ability to obtain, and ma Controlled Goods clearance (as outlined in Section 15 of Canada's Controlled Goods Regulations), or other security clearances, may become a requirement of this role, as may other security clearancesintain,
