Job Description
We are currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Quebec . This is a day shift position , Monday to Friday, from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Reporting to the Mechanical Manager, the Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding a variety of heavy equipment while providing regular updates to the Team Lead.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive, general, and scheduled maintenance on heavy equipment and forklifts.
Diagnose mechanical issues and determine the root cause of equipment failures.
Perform both minor and major repairs on:
Engines
Hydraulic systems
Pneumatic systems
Braking and steering systems
Electrical and electronic systems
Transmission components
Complete work orders and inspection reports, documenting all work performed.
Ensure proper operation and responsible use of company equipment.
Inform the immediate supervisor of any unplanned repairs, identified issues, or work exceeding estimated repair times.
Maintain a clean and safe work setting.
Follow all company health and safety
