Job Description
TTS is seeking a competent Field Service Engineer with gas turbine experience who will leverage their expertise in OEM legacy control systems and PLC control systems, troubleshooting, programming Instrumentation, AC and DC systems, to support our field services group and our conversion, modification, upgrade, businesses in power generation projects throughout the world.
The Field Services Engineer shall work as part of the TTS Engineering team with emphasis on:
Service of existing OEM control systems (GE, Siemens, Emerson, etc)
Programming, logic changes and Calibrations of above mentioned systems
Installation, commissioning and service of TTS built gas turbine and balance of plant control systems.
Factory and On-site testing and validation of system performance
Requirements
Minimum 3-5 years Electrical, Controls, and/or Project Engineering experience
Minimum 3-5 years working with any of GE, Westinghouse, Siemens, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce, Solar, ABB, Mitsubishi gas turbines for power generation and/or oil & gas applications
3 years in an automation setting with direct involvement in software development, configuration, testing, and implementation (required)
Desired Skills & Experience
Proficiency with Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation, Siemens, GE/Emerson PLC platforms, or GE MKV, MKVI, MKVIe.
Proficiency with RSView Studio, FactoryTalk View, Cimplicity, Wonderware/InTouch, or Ignition Human Machine Interface (HMI) platforms
Ability to understand Electrical Schematics, Cable Schedules, Control Logic Diagrams, Piping and Instrument Diagrams, and Cause & Effect Diagrams
Ability to analyze electrical/mechanical systems and manufacturer’s data sheets
Proficiency with appropriate tools to conduct electrical testing, including digital multi-meters, process calibrators, and function generators
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project)
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred), or Mechanical Engineering degree with Controls/Programming Experience.

Travel:
Travel to customer sites is required
Travel is project based (domestic and international) and can vary based on project timelines
Estimated travel is 50%+
