This role will provide strong technical leadership in the testing, planning, design, and implementation of TERAGO’s national IP network solutions and services.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
NPI & Lab Testing : Lead New Product Introductions (NPI) by validating non-standard solutions and testing new hardware in the lab.
Network Design : Create detailed configs, CPE scripts, and Visio diagrams for Internet, EoMPLS, VPLS, SD-WAN, DDoS, and BGP services.
Project Execution : Lead backhaul upgrades, PE/switch maintenance, and consolidations using strict Method of Procedure (MOP) guidelines.
Service Activation : Provision, activate, and troubleshoot customer services, collaborating directly with third-party Telco vendors.
Documentation & Training : Author provisioning and troubleshooting guides to train cross-functional teams (NOC, PMs, Sales).
Escalation Support : Provide Tier-3 technical support for complex customer and network issues.
Education & Experience
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Science, Applied Science, or Engineering.
Experience : 3-5 years implementing/supporting Internet, SD-WAN, and MPLS services within a Service Provider or Enterprise workplace.
Certifications : Cisco CCNP/CCIE or Fortinet FCP/NSE (5, 7) preferred.
Technical Skills
Protocols : BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPLS, EVPN, EoMPLS, LDP, QoS, H-QoS.
Cisco Hardware/OS : NCS (540, 5500), ASR (1K, 9K), ME3600, Catalyst switches, ISR routers; IOS, IOSXE, IOS-XR.
Fortinet Hardware/OS :
FortiGate (60F to 120G), nice to have FortiSwitches, FortiAPs, HA, ADVPN, SD-WAN.
Security & Infrastructure : ACLs, NAT, IPsec, GRE, DDoS mitigation (Radware/Arbor), Cloud Connect (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Skills & Knowledge
Results oriented with ability to multitask and work under pressure in an environment of change.
Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills.
Collaborative team player, with flexibility and adaptability to changes.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
Work Location & Onsite Requirements
Hybrid Model : Requires regular physical, onsite presence at both the Head Office (Thornhill) and Warehouse locations.
Lab Environment : Hands-on hardware interaction required for product testing, development, and provisioning support.
Availability : Must be flexible for scheduled after-hours activations and tier-3 on-call support
