Position – Lead Interior Mechanic (Aircraft Interiors / MRO)
The Lead Interior Mechanic is responsible for performing and overseeing aircraft interior maintenance, modifications, installations, and repairs in a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) environment. This role requires strong aircraft interiors experience, leadership ability, and the capability to support widebody aircraft interior projects and heavy maintenance operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform installation, removal, modification, and repair of aircraft interior components
Lead and support interior technicians during maintenance and modification activities
Install and repair interior components including sidewalls, ceiling panels, carpeting, seats, bins, lavatories, galleys, and monuments
Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation
Perform fitting, trimming, drilling, fastening, and assembly of interior components
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and airworthiness standards are met
Support heavy maintenance and aircraft modification projects on widebody aircraft
Troubleshoot interior discrepancies and determine corrective actions
Assist in training and mentoring junior interior technicians
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Other duties as assigned

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 4+ years of aircraft interior experience required
Widebody aircraft experience required
Military aircraft interior experience considered
Must be authorized to work in the United States
FAA Airframe license preferred but not required unless specified by program requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of aircraft interior installation and repair practices
Experience performing interior modifications and maintenance on widebody aircraft
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Experience with fitting, trimming, drilling, fastening, and interior assembly
