Job Description and Responsibilities

- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of maintenance staff to ensure timely, high-quality work.
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance, training programs and schedules to enhance equipment reliability and safety.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Assisting in procuring, organizing, and inventorying parts and materials needed for repairs.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance tasks and minimize operational disruptions.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance management for maintenance team members.
- Document maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and generate technical reports.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and coordinate emergency repairs.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in the mechanical field, or a completed accredited apprenticeship/ Journeyman; 5 years of experience in a mechanical maintenance role and 2-5 years’ supervisory or lead experience in a union environment Or an acceptable combination of education and experience will be considered
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatics, pressure vessels, motorized drive systems
- Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Procedures as to safely isolate and secure equipment during maintenance or repair
- Proficient in blueprint reading, P&ID; and troubleshooting of mechanical operations of equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and personnel scheduling
- Strong leadership and communication skills




- Must be available and flexible to be on call and work weekends when required
- Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions
