Burnaby

All Things Speech is looking for an experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing team in Burnaby.

About All Things Speech

We are a small, collaborative speech and occupational therapy clinic working primarily with children and families. Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming and child-centred, with a focus on making therapy practical, engaging, and meaningful for each child.

Our team has plenty of opportunities to ask questions, share ideas, and learn from one another. We value open communication and recognize that flexibility matters; wherever possible, we work with our team members to create schedules that fit both their availability and the needs of their caseload.

To learn more about our clinic and approach, visit our website at www.allthingsspeech.ca.

The Role The SLPA will provide therapy to children with a range of communication needs. Depending on experience and interest, this may include:

- speech sound intervention;
- receptive and expressive language intervention;
- social communication support;
- AAC support and modelling;

- literacy-related intervention.

Sessions may take place at our Burnaby clinic and, depending on interest and availability, in clients' homes or community settings within our service area.

- uses good clinical judgment while working within the SLPA role;

- communicates clearly and professionally with families and team members;

The Schedule

This is a part-time position starting at approximately 8 hours per week, with the chance to take on additional hours depending on availability and caseload needs.

We are open to different scheduling arrangements, including full-day shifts or shorter afternoon/evening shifts. Availability for at least two weekdays is preferred, particularly during after-school and evening hours. Weekend availability is an asset but is not required.
