Location: Montréal, Quebec (Partial Remote)

Role Overview The Senior RPG Developer is responsible for the design, development, enhancement, integration, support, and modernization of our client's MBA platform and related pharmaceutical distribution systems. This role combines hands-on development with technical analysis, production support, solution design, and modernization initiatives supporting warehouse, transportation, inventory, customer, and supply chain operations. The individual will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, business analysts, infrastructure teams, and external vendors to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure solutions while helping modernize legacy AS400 capabilities.

This person will be assigned under the track and trace project.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using RPG IV, ILE RPG, SQLRPGLE, Free Format RPG, CL, and DB2/400.
- Deliver enhancements, defect corrections, and new functionality within the MBA ecosystem.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Develop reusable technical components and application frameworks to improve maintainability and productivity.
- Design and support integrations using APIs, web services, EDI, messaging platforms, and file-transfer technologies.
- Develop and maintain interfaces between MBA, Salesforce, SAP, KNAPP, transportation systems, warehouse automation platforms, and external business partners.
- Support API modernization and integration initiatives supporting real-time business operations.




- Support applications related to Warehouse Operations, Inventory Management, Track & Trace, Transportation Management, Customer Fulfillment, Order Management, and Distribution Center Operations.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents, performing root-cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective actions.
- Participate in on-call support and major incident resolution activities when required.
- Assist in modernization initiatives involving RPG Free Conversion, SQL modernization, API enablement, Git-based source control, DevOps practices, and AI-assisted development.
- Contribute to reducing technical debt and improving system maintainability.
