Become a vital part of AgeCare's Resident Care Team as a Therapy Aide. This role supports therapeutic recreation programs, promoting resident engagement and independence through communication and collaborative assessments.
In the Therapy Aide position, you will assist with the evaluation and planning of recreational therapy programs. You'll identify residents' needs through observation and communication while collaborating with the Recreation Therapist to ensure care plans are met. This role emphasizes safe transportation for residents and active involvement in recreational activities, promoting well-being and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support identification of resident needs and preferences
• Assist with admission assessments for new residents
• Collaborate with care teams and Recreation Therapists
• Develop individualized and group recreation programs
• Ensure secure transportation for residents to activities
Requirements:
• Recreation Therapy Aide (RTA) Certificate is an asset
• CPR certification required
• Experience in therapeutic recreation preferred
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Vulnerable Sector Check is mandatory
