Duties

- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and drying machines following strict protocols.
- Inspect and verify the cleanliness and sterilization status of surgical instruments and medical tools.
- Prepare instruments for sterilization by assembling trays, packaging, and labeling according to established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels.
- Adhere to infection control policies, safety guidelines, and medical terminology standards to ensure compliance.




- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels.
- Support the cleaning and disinfecting of work areas to uphold a sterile environment.

Requirements

- Prior experience in a healthcare or sterilization setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely and maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
- Valuable communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Certification or training in infection control or sterilization procedures is a plus but not mandatory.
