Support infrastructure in Thunder Bay as a Street Lighting and Traffic Control Technician I. Focus on safe installation and maintenance of vital city traffic systems in this full-time role. As a part of the City Manager's Office, this position entails hands-on work maintaining street lighting and traffic control systems. Candidates must hold a certified Journeyman Electrician or Journeyman Power Lineman status and possess an Ontario Class “G” Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities include directing crews, ensuring equipment functionality, and participating in various training seminars. Key Responsibilities:

- Install all current traffic control and street lighting systems
- Repair and maintain traffic control lighting equipment




- Assume Crew Leader duties when necessary
- Attend relevant safety and electrical seminars
- Carry out other assigned related duties Requirements:
- Must have Journeyman Electrician or Power Lineman Licence
- Valid Class “G” Ontario Drivers Licence required
- Effective work assignment and supervision capabilities
- Strong public interaction and communication skills
