Jarvis Design Firm is looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team!

Job Type: Full-time

What you will do:

- Complete detailed engineering design calculations.
- Complete Structural Designs for Residential and ICI Building Projects
- Review and markup Architectural or Structural Permit Drawings
- Coordinating of engineering drawings with drafting staff.
- Contribute to business development, write design reports and preparation of formal engineering proposals in response to RFPs.
- Develop cost estimates and construction specifications.
- Develop and critically evaluate design alternatives.
- Carry out field work including structure condition assessments, field measurements, and construction inspections.




- Complete Engineer Reports from Field Inspections/Assessments

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Equivalent
- Licensed Qualified Engineer in the Province of Ontario (required)

Experience:
- Current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes, and regulations.
- The ability to diagram designs both manually and with computer-aided drafting.
- An excellent working knowledge of science, mathematics, and engineering principles.
- Strong analytical, critical, and problem-solving skills.

Skills: · Software proficiency: MS Office, Structural Design Softwares, Familiarity of Revit would be beneficial.

· Excellent verbal and written communication (English)

· Excellent time management skills

· Salary is to be determined based on each candidate's experience.

· Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
