Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structured Cabling Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting structured cabling systems that support computer networking, telecommunication, and electrical infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure reliable connectivity and optimal performance across various commercial and industrial environments.

Duties
- Install, test, and terminate Ethernet cables, fiber optics, and other low voltage wiring according to industry standards.
- Configure and troubleshoot network hardware such as Cisco routers, switches, and telecommunication equipment.
- Conduct site surveys to determine optimal cable pathways and ensure compliance with safety and electrical codes.
- Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to secure cables, mount panels, racks, and enclosures efficiently.
- Perform routine inspections of cabling infrastructure to identify potential issues before they impact network performance.
- Collaborate with electricians and IT teams to coordinate installation schedules and technical requirements.
- Document all cabling layouts, test results, and system configurations accurately for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with Ethernet cabling, computer networking, and telecommunication systems. (Commercial Spaces Required)
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to cable management, mounting hardware, and electrical components.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, drills, and screwdrivers.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring standards and electrical safety protocols.
- Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, telephony systems, and basic network troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints, and electrical schematics clearly.
- Prior experience working with telecommunication infrastructure or electrical systems is highly desirable.
